People are always asking if I am on a muzzle and do I bite? This drives me nuts. I walk on a head collar because I pull on the leash. This thing won’t stop me from biting if I really wanted to. I’ve been on the Gentle Leader for 2 years now. It doesn’t hurt and I’m used to it. Mom says it’s better so I won’t drag her down the street during our walks. Also, if I go into a squirrel frenzy, it’s easier for her to control me by leading me by the head. Highly recommended if you have a dog that pulls. But it must be used properly; it has to be fitted snugly behind the head. Some dog owners give up after their dogs paw it off. It takes patience and time. And its a lot better than using those draconian methods of training such as choke chains or prong collars like Uncle Paul recommended.
